Eric R. McDonough, Los Angeles Office

 Eric McDonough

Eric R. McDonough joined the firm in September 2019 as a Litigation Shareholder in the Los Angeles office. Eric focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in trade secrets litigation and restrictive covenant claims, technology disputes, unfair competition disputes, real estate litigation, products liability and tort litigation insurance bad faith and ERISA litigation. Eric has experience in all phases of civil discovery, pre-trial, trial and post-trial litigation and has defended a number of complex litigation matters in California.

Andrew B. Harris, London Office

 Andrew Harris

Andrew B. Harris joined the firm as a Partner in the Finance & Transactions group and European Head of Private Equity and Corporate in the London office in June 2019. Andrew focuses on private equity and private M&A transactions. He has considerable experience in share and asset purchases, disposals/exits, MBOs, MBIs, buy and builds, joint ventures and restructurings, and acts for private equity firms, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals, as well as portfolio companies and management teams. Prior to joining Vedder Price, Andrew served as a private equity partner at an AmLaw 100 firm in London.

Daniel H. Shulman, Chicago Office

 Daniel Shulman

Daniel H. Shulman joined Vedder Price as an Intellectual Property Shareholder in the Chicago office in May 2019. Daniel's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property acquisition, monetization and enforcement, including complex patent litigation, trademark litigation, copyright litigation, trade secret litigation and all aspects of patent and trademark prosecution and portfolio management. He also focuses on complex commercial matters, advertising disputes before courts and the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau, products liability, antitrust matters and enforcement of restrictive covenants. He has experience managing all aspects of domestic patent prosecution and litigation relating to consumer packaged goods, electronic exchanges, insurance industry, telecommunications, financial products, mechanical and electrical devices, and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also advises clients on intellectual property transactions including technology development agreements, confidentiality and joint development agreements, licensing and mergers and acquisitions

David L. Kane, Chicago Office

David Kane

David L. Kane joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Insolvency, Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization group in the Chicago office in April 2019. David brings over 16 years of experience in almost every facet of complex bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, including cash collateral and debtor-in-possession financing, Section 363 sale transactions, real estate and equipment leasing disputes, and claims administration, as well as preference, fraudulent transfer and the prosecution and defense of bankruptcy adversary litigation. His clients include a cross section of secured and unsecured creditors, financial institutions, asset purchasers, debtors, Chapter 7 trustees, assignees and equity security holders, whom he represents in a variety of bankruptcy and out-of court insolvency matters

Steven J. (Jay) Novatney, Chicago Office 

Jay Novatney

Steven J. (Jay) Novatney joined the firm as an Investment Services Shareholder in the Chicago office in March 2019. Jay handles all aspects of private fund product structuring and operation as well as Advisers Act and Commodity Exchange Act compliance. He focuses his practice on investment advisers and asset management firms and unregistered vehicles such as hedge funds, hedge fund of funds, private equity and other investment entities. He has a wealth of experience across investment types and in complex structured products and financing transactions, including collateralized loan obligations and derivative instruments.

 

Michelle L. Landry, San Francisco Office

Michelle Landry

Michelle Landry joined the firm in March 2019 as a Litigation Shareholder in the San Francisco office. Michelle focuses her practice on prosecuting and defending complex civil litigation across a wide array of industries for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, and private and publicly traded companies. She has represented clients in breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair business practices, commercial lease disputes, trademark and trade secrets, defamation and invasion of privacy cases, price-fixing and RICO. She has substantial trial experience and has arbitrated in all major arbitration venues.

Anthony Pacheco, Los Angeles Office

Anthony Pacheo

Anthony Pacheco joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Government Enforcement & Special Investigations practice group in Los Angeles in February 2019, focusing on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations and complex business litigation, including civil and criminal trials. Anthony’s clients include public and private companies, medical centers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, laboratories, software companies, brokerages, financial institutions, municipalities, universities, studios, post-production companies, high-level executives, doctors, lawyers, accountants and nonprofit entities. He has handled over 100 internal investigations and has managed sensitive public relations issues dealing with criminal, quasi-criminal, civil, regulatory, administrative and parallel proceedings. His white collar criminal defense experience includes, but is not limited to, health care fraud and abuse, False Claim Act, Stark and anti-kickback laws, HIPAA, data privacy and cybersecurity, whistleblower claims, securities and financial fraud, insider trading, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, #metoo, executive/employee misconduct, and wire and mail fraud.

Robert Bradshaw, London Office

Robert Bradshaw

Robert Bradshaw joined the firm as a Partner with our Finance & Transactions group in December 2018. Rob focuses his practice on acquisition and leveraged finance. He has significant experience advising clients on complex, cross-border debt finance transactions. He advises borrowers, including private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and creditors, including financial institutions and credit funds, on a wide range of transactions including leveraged buy-outs, secured lending, bridge financings and debt restructurings across different levels of the capital structure.

John F. Imhof Jr., New York Office

John F. Imhof Jr.

John F. Imhof Jr. joined the firm's New York office's Global Transportation Finance team in November 2018. John focuses his practice on maritime and transportation finance. He has more than twenty-five years of experience advising lenders, lessors, investors, borrowers and lessees in the domestic and cross-border financing of transportation and logistics assets, including ships, shipping containers, aircraft, railroad rolling stock and related infrastructure. His experience involves a variety of facilities and financing techniques, including syndicated senior secured loan facilities, mezzanine and subordinated loan facilities, letter-of-credit facilities, single-investor leases, leveraged leases, sale-leaseback transactions and restructurings. Prior to joining Vedder Price, John was a partner at Seward & Kissel LLP. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, and his B.S. from Duke University.
