Vedder Price’s Chicago office seeks an associate with 4-6 years of health care transactional, financing and regulatory experience to assist its Health Care Industry Group. The Firm represents a broad range of clients, including health systems and hospitals, multi-specialty medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers, long term care providers, life sciences companies, physician specialty associations, investors in the health care industry (including private equity) as well as national lending institutions that primarily or exclusively serve health care providers and delivery systems.
Preferred candidates will have significant experience in the practice areas of health law, including, for example, healthcare transactions (affiliations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions), regulatory compliance (such as fraud and abuse, HIPAA), healthcare financing, physician contracting and managed care arrangements. Knowledge of data privacy, compliance investigations, clinical trial/research laws and FDA regulatory compliance would be a plus.

Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Candidates must have high personal standards of excellence and be willing to take ownership of projects in order to assure that Firm clients are served with the highest levels of quality.
