Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Candice T. Zee has joined the firm as a Shareholder in its Labor & Employment group in the Los Angeles office.

Ms. Zee focuses her practice on traditional labor issues, including unfair labor practice charges, interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, grievances, arbitrations and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. She has handled several union grievances, arbitrations and representation cases at all stages and has extensive experience managing and overseeing union election campaigns.

Ms. Zee has represented and defended multi-state and international corporations on all aspects of employment litigation, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour issues, reductions-in-force, reasonable accommodation and independent contractor issues as well as workplace torts, including defamation, emotional distress and interference with contractual relations. She has also litigated single plaintiff and class action employment lawsuits in a first chair capacity.

“Candice is a very talented L&E lawyer, with a rare skillset in traditional labor,” said Amy L. Bess, Chair of Vedder Price’s Labor & Employment practice area. “We knew she would be a great strategic fit in our LA office and her practice fits in well with our culture and clients alike. Her addition to the Los Angeles office complements our existing services in California and enables us to better serve our clients, especially in the distribution and logistics, hospital, retail and hotel industries.”

“I’m thrilled to join Vedder Price and to add to its traditional labor and employment practice,” said Ms. Zee. “I look forward to contributing my perspective and experience to help serve our clients on the West Coast and nationwide.”

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Zee was a Partner in Seyfarth Shaw’s Labor and Employment Department. She earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School and her B.A. cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles.
