Jordan R. Labkon is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the Global Transportation Finance team, whose performance led Vedder Price to be named Airline Economics Aviation 100 Law Firm of the Year in 2015 and 2017.

He advises lenders, borrowers, lessees, equity participants and others in a variety of equipment finance matters in the transportation industry. This includes U.S.-based and cross-border leveraged leases, tax-motivated structured financings, secured loan and mortgage financings, operating lease financings, and asset purchase and sale transactions involving commercial aircraft and rolling stock. He also has experience in corporate and private aircraft financings, leases, purchases and sales, fractional-interest transactions and like-kind exchanges.

Mr. Labkon represented a U.S.-based commercial airline in restructuring its entire operating lease aircraft fleet, and he has advised aircraft lessors and lenders in connection with lease and loan restructurings involving airlines in numerous jurisdictions worldwide.

Mr. Labkon is a speaker at industry conferences on topics including the European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme.

In 2012 and 2013, Mr. Labkon was nominated by his clients as a BTI Consulting Client Service All-Star, in recognition of the “practical advice, business savvy and creative, effective solutions” he regularly provides to them.
