Daniel Stander was recently featured in an HR Grapevine article about workplace dynamics following the recent Jimmy Fallon controversy in which sixteen employees accused him of fostering a toxic work environment through frequent emotional outbursts. 

Vedder Price Employment Associate Daniel Stander commented on the highly public controversy. Stander commented on the need for employers to promote top-down enforcement of company policies: “Clearly, it is not enough to have in place policies and procedures to address bullying and harassment at work. In order for employees to feel safe, respected and that their voices are heard, employers need to have effective mechanisms to enforce policies on a consistent basis (a healthy 'Speak Up ' channel), coupled with regular and high-quality training (especially at C-Suite level)—culture really does start at the top.”
