Vedder Price helped its client Chemonics International fend off a bid protest filed by a disappointed offeror contesting a $9.5 billion contract award made by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). After extensive proceedings, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) denied a variety of challenges to the evaluation of technical proposals, costs and the conduct of discussions. Shareholders Eric J. Marcotte and Kevin P. Connelly were the lead attorneys on the matter, supported by Of Counsel Marques O. Peterson and Associates Kelly E. Buroker, Kyle E. Gilbertson, Caroline A.
