Heather M. Sager, a Shareholder and member of the firm's Labor & Employment practice area, will speak at the American Conference Institute's 25th National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions in San Francisco. The two-day conference is designed to inform employers and in-house counsel of current and upcoming wage and hour rules and regulations.
Ms. Sager will co-lead the presentation "Keeping in Line with Federal and State Wage Payment Requirements Relating to Deductions from Employee Paychecks, Docking Pay of Salaried Employees, Payroll Debit Card Usage and Employee Expense Reimbursements, and Tips and Strategies for Managing and Defending These Claims." The presentation will provide an examination of federal and state law governing deductions from employee paychecks, as well as take a look at the latest claims and class actions relating to deductions from wages and more.
