Mr. Ditto represents operating lessors, commercial banks, finance companies, private equity firms and hedge funds in complex commercial aircraft and high-value equipment transactions, including securitizations and warehouse financings, Rule 144A and Regulation S capital markets offerings, including those involving syndicated equity, joint ventures, cross-border operating and finance leases, ECA financings, distressed-debt trades and workouts, and the establishment of offshore leasing platforms.

Mr. Ditto also represents financiers and lessors in manufacturing facility financings, including those in the steel, timber, chemical, distribution and water treatment industries. In addition, Mr. Ditto has considerable experience in financings involving automobile loans and leases, credit card receivables, dealer floorplan receivables, marine container leases, mortgage loans, railcar leases, student loans, trade receivables and vessel loans. He advises clients on various day-to-day matters including tax-based corporate structuring, consignment arrangements, servicing and management agreements, and general corporate and securities law matters.

Mr. Ditto was recognized by Legal 500 United States in the Transport: Aviation and Air Travel—Finance category in 2018, 2019 and 2021-2022. Since 2016, he has been selected for inclusion in Euromoney Legal Media Group Aviation Expert Rising Star Guides. For two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, Mr. Ditto was named “Best in Aviation” at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Americas Rising Star Awards, which celebrates rising attorneys under the age of 40 across a number of practice areas. In 2020 and 2021, he was included in Airline Economics “40 under 40” list, which recognizes the most talented individuals in the commercial aviation industry. Also, since 2020, he was recognized among the world’s leading aviation attorneys by Euromoney Legal Media Group Expert Guides. Additionally, Mr. Ditto has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in the Corporate Finance Law and Secured Transactions Law categories by Leading Lawyers and Chicago Lawyer Magazine since 2016. In 2015, 2017 and 2018, Vedder Price was named Airline Economics Aviation 100 Law Firm of the Year.

Mr. Ditto serves in the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee. He has been involved in several pro bono matters representing political asylum clients from Darfur, the Central African Republic, Sierra Leone and Tibet.
