Marie H. Godush is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions practice group.

Ms. Godush focuses her practice on the representation of banks, other financial institutions, private equity funds and corporate borrowers in the area of finance. Ms. Godush joined the firm in 2006.

Her practice includes structuring, documenting and negotiating commercial finance transactions in a broad array of contexts. Ms. Godush focuses on advising lenders on fund finance transactions, including capital call credit facilities, general partner support facilities and management fee secured lines. In addition, she represents lenders and borrowers in asset-based and cash flow credit facilities, acquisition financing, and senior and mezzanine financing, including having particular experience in health care and ESOP financing transactions. Ms. Godush also advises lenders and borrowers in bankruptcy-related workout matters and negotiating and documenting agreements among lenders and intercreditor and subordination agreement arrangements.

Ms. Godush received her law degree in 2002 from Wayne State University Law School and B.A. in both English and Economics in 1994 from the University of Michigan.

Since 2021, Ms. Godush has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the Banking/Financial Institutions and Secured Transactions Law categories by Leading Lawyers Magazine
