Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Shareholders Daniel Lange and Patrick Spangler have recently been elected to the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Board of Directors as Secretary and Board Member, respectively. PILI’s mission is to cultivate a lifelong commitment to public interest law and pro bono service within the Illinois legal community to expand the availability of legal services for people, families and communities in need.

Mr. Lange will serve as PILI Board Secretary, continuing his nearly decade-long tenure on PILI’s Board of Directors. Mr. Lange is a Shareholder in the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice group at Vedder Price. He represents public and private commercial companies, investment funds, ESOP trustees and employees in structuring and implementing executive compensation packages, as well as broad-based equity and incentive compensation arrangements and identifying related compliance and reporting requirements.

Mr. Spangler, now serving on the Board of Directors, maintains a broad labor and employment practice representing companies in complex litigation, workforce change and compliance matters. His litigation practice focuses on complex claims arising from the employment relationship. He also provides traditional labor, employment and benefits advice to employers on day-to-day compliance and workforce change events. Mr. Spangler previously served as a PILI Fellow at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services prior to joining Vedder Price in 2006.
