Gabrielle M. Buckley, Shareholder and Chair of Vedder Price's Business Immigration practice group, served as a keynote speaker at a seminar jointly held by the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) in Toronto, Canada April 24-26, 2014.

Titled "Business Travel and Short Term Mobility: International Legal Trends," the event focused on immigration short-term labor mobility rules and the most important legal issues that employers should consider when transferring employees internationally.

UIA, with over 2,000 individual members and 200 bar, federation and association members from more than 110 countries, offers seminars, training sessions and other events throughout the year in several countries that are accredited for continuing education purposes.

AIJA is the only global association devoted to lawyers and in-house counsel aged 45 and under. Through a wide range of meetings, seminars, law courses and advocacy, AIJA promotes professional cooperation and friendship among young career-building legal professionals on an international stage.
