October 17-18, 2018

Labor & Employment Chair Amy L. Bess and Shareholder Joseph K. Mulherin will present at PLI’s annual Employment Law Institute at the PLI New York Center on October 17-18, 2018. This two-day event offers a comprehensive review of case law and regulatory developments, an in-depth analysis of emerging issues, and best practices, designed to maximize employment law compliance, mitigate legal risk and achieve business objectives.

In addition to co-chairing the 2018 Institute, Ms. Bess will moderate the session “Employment Law Lessons Learned from Recent Scandals.” Her panel will cover recent workplace harassment allegations and investigations, issues that result from investigations, workplace culture, the rights of the alleged harasser and legislative responses to the #MeToo movement.

On day two of the conference, Mr. Mulherin will discuss the “Latest Challenges in the Wage & Hour Arena.” He and his co-presenter will cover DOL overtime regulations and white collar exemptions, the latest decisions from the Supreme and Appellate Courts, the most common wage & hour pitfalls, and the industries that currently find themselves in the wage & hour cross-hairs.

The two day program is designed for private practitioners, in-house counsel, and human resources and other business professionals who seek an in-depth analysis and discussion of often subtle and rapidly evolving issues arising in employment law. Click here for more information.
