Alexander Berger is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Real Estate practice group in the firm’s New York office and focuses his practice on representing land proprietors and developers in all aspects of transactional real estate, including the acquisition, disposition and financing (construction and acquisition mortgage conduit loans) of commercial properties regionally and nationwide. He also has extensive experience in structuring and facilitating like-kind exchanges under IRC #1031.

Mr. Berger also represents landlords and tenants in all types of commercial real estate lease transactions, including space leases, “big box” leases, ground leases, retail, office and build-to-suit leases. He regularly drafts and negotiates letters of intent, brokerage agreements, leases and subleases for both landlords and tenants. 

Mr. Berger previously represented a client in connection with the sale of a $67 million dollar multifamily property located in Brooklyn, NY, and another client with a $58 million dollar acquisition and ancillary securitized financing of portfolio properties located in Woodbury, MN; Texarkana, TX; Joliet, IL; and St. Augustine, FL. 

Mr. Berger is a Board Member of the Long Island Children’s Museum.

Mr. Berger is fluent in Russian.
