Sudip Mitra is an Associate in the Chicago office of Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property group.

Mr. Mitra practices intellectual property prosecution and litigation and has worked on various technologies, including mechanical devices, electrical systems, computer and networking systems, artificial intelligence and business methods patents. Mr. Mitra has also worked on patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions for various clients. He has experience in Intellectual Property licensing and sales agreements as well as conducting due diligence and drafting assignments and security interest agreements for mergers and acquisitions and other related corporate transactions matters. Mr. Mitra has worked on litigation matters in the U.S. District Court, Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the International Trade Commission (ITC).

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Mitra was a Boeing Program Manager with the Safran Group and was involved in developing the new electrical system standard for the Boeing 787 (Dreamliner) aircraft. Mr. Mitra also worked as a Regional Manager at General Electric for embedded hardware and software products used in military and aerospace systems.
