Lakshmi Rajan, Ph.D. Joins the Firm’s New York Office
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Lakshmi Rajan, Ph.D. has joined the firm's Intellectual Property practice group today as a Patent Agent and Scientific Advisor in the firm's New York office.
Dr. Rajan works on a variety of intellectual property aspects, including due diligence, patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate and counseling involving technologies related to the life sciences, with particular emphasis on biotechnology, microbiology and pharmaceuticals. She has extensive scientific research experience and has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications in a wide variety of areas, including molecular virology, cancer genetics, developmental biology and orthopedics.
Her patent experience includes drafting and filing domestic and international patent applications in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and food arts; analyzing, preparing and prosecuting patent applications; and working collaboratively with international counsel for foreign patent filings and prosecution.

Dr. Rajan has 8 years of legal experience in intellectual property law, and over 15 years of scientific experience focused on molecular biology.
