Vedder Price is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) with both the 2022 Top Performer and 2022 Compass Award designations.

Each year LCLD recognizes those law firms and corporations showing a strong commitment to building more diverse organizations and a more inclusive legal profession.

The Top Performer award recognizes those organizations in the top 20 percent for participation in LCLD programs and activities. The Compass Award recognizes those organizations that fulfill various requirements in a single calendar year, including participation in the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinder Programs.

Andrew Torre, Shareholder and Chair of the Real Estate Practice Area and Chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, was previously named to the 2021 class of Fellows of the Leadership Council of LCLD.

“We have now been partnering with LCLD for over five years and the firm is proud to work with such an important organization on a cause that is consistent with our values. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with our LCLD colleagues in the future,” said Torre.

Earlier in 2022, Shareholder and member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions Practice Area, Benjamin O. Williams, was also named to the 2022 class of Fellows of LCLD, and he has since participated in a landmark program to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

“Being able to participate in the Fellows program has been a wonderful experience,” said Williams. “I’m very grateful for the opportunities it has brought not only to me, but the firm as well, and I look forward to continuing to build and foster my relationships with LCLD.”
