Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Julie Langdon joined the firm’s Chicago office as a Shareholder in the Intellectual Property group.

Langdon concentrates her practice in litigation, licensing and counseling involving all aspects of intellectual property in a broad range of industries and sectors. She is a registered patent litigation attorney and prosecutes patents involving various technologies including biotechnology, chemical compositions and processes, software and computer-based systems, consumer products, consumer electronic products, oilfield fluid technologies, wearable technologies and pharmaceuticals, including Hatch-Waxman issues. She also handles litigation involving assertions of copyright, trademark and trade dress infringement, as well as trade secret misappropriation. Langdon strategically helps her clients by identifying their intellectual property protection needs, obtaining and maintaining patent and trademark protection, and enforcing their rights through non-litigation and litigation strategies. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of patent litigation, including preliminary injunction proceedings, discovery and appeals.

Langdon has extensive experience with patent and trademark portfolio protection and maintenance before the USPTO and international bodies.
“We are excited to welcome Julie to the firm. This addition will bolster the firm’s Intellectual Property offerings, particularly in the areas of Life Science, Pharmaceutical and Biotech,” said Robert S. Rigg, Chair of Vedder Price’s Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation groups. “Her arrival will further solidify our practice as a one-stop shop for our clients’ intellectual property needs. We are confident that she will enhance our already robust IP practice.”

“I am delighted to join Vedder Price and its growing Intellectual Property practice,” said Langdon. “I look forward to expanding the IP practice capabilities further and thus diversifying our offerings to our global client base. “

Langdon earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and her M.S. in Forensic Science with a concentration in biotechnology from Florida International University in Miami. She also obtained an undergraduate degree in cellular biology and biotechnology from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Langdon joins the firm following the recent addition of Intellectual Property Shareholder Jordan Sigale.
