Vedder Price Global Transportation Finance Attorneys to Present at CJI’s UK School of Corporate Jet Finance 2018
Vedder Price Partner Derek Watson and Shareholders Edward K. Gross and David M. Hernandez, all members of the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team, will present at Corporate Jet Investor’s (CJI) UK School of Corporate Jet Finance 2018 in Surrey on July 3–4. The two-day interactive course, led by business aviation industry professionals, provides attendees with practical examples and case studies in order to better understand how to successfully close aircraft transactions and deals.
Mr. Gross’s session, “Debt Finance,” will cover the basic structural elements of debt finance, term sheets, aircraft loan agreements and security documents, and will analyze more complex structures as they relate to debt finance.
Mr. Watson will speak on “The Tri-Partite Agreement & Case Study,” which will address key issues for negotiation, the importance of relationships with managers, and enforcing the tri-partite agreement.
Mr. Hernandez will participate in three sessions throughout the event. The first session, “Negotiating an LOI,” will address key legal aspects of the sales process, the most important elements of the LOI, long form versus short form, negotiating the deposit and escrow, the aircraft sale and purchase agreement, and getting deals to completion. He will also present “Managing Risks: What Can Go Wrong?” and a case study on “Managing A Hostile Repossession.”
