Together, their practice focuses on white collar criminal and regulatory defense, federal trial and grand jury matters, internal investigations and regulatory proceedings, including criminal and enforcement actions by federal and state agencies.

Ansley and Goodman regularly defend individuals, corporations, and their key personnel in a variety of high-stakes cases and investigations, ranging from matters involving allegations of health care fraud, securities fraud, wire and mail fraud, honest services fraud, tax fraud, money laundering, anti-kickback and Stark law allegations, bribery and public corruption, among others. In the health care industry, Ansley and Goodman represent physicians, hospitals, pharmacists, compounding pharmacies, dentists and marketers in investigations and prosecutions, and both are frequent speakers on issues relating to health care fraud, compliance, investigations and corresponding litigation. In the securities industry, their practice regularly includes representing public companies and their officers and directors, broker-dealers, financial advisers and advisory firms, and others in connection with investigations and proceedings by the SEC, the DOJ and state securities regulators.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, the group was at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP in Dallas, where Ansley led the firm’s white collar practice. Previously, Ansley, ranked by Chambers-USA for White Collar Criminal Defense and Government Investigations, served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Major Fraud and Public Corruption Section for the Northern District of Texas, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and Trial Attorney with the Division of Enforcement in the SEC’s Fort Worth Regional Office. At Bell Nunnally, Goodman also practiced white collar criminal defense, where she was an integral part of a team that tried multiple federal criminal cases. She previously worked for a large firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been named to the “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” list since 2021, and has been selected by her peers as a Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers “Rising Star” since 2017.
