Vedder Price was chosen for this year’s Public Interest Law Initiative’s (PILI) Pro Bono Recognition Roster, which acknowledges law firms and corporate legal departments throughout Illinois for their exemplary pro bono programs and contributions through its roster.

To be eligible for the roster, firms and corporate legal departments must meet at least two of PILI’s five criteria, which include meeting a minimum number of pro bono hours and demonstrating efforts to involve other Illinois attorneys in pro bono work. PILI spotlighted the 2011 roster at its 2011 Annual Pro Bono Reception: Celebrating Pro Bono on June 15, 2011.

Vedder Price has been involved with PILI since it was founded in 1977. In addition to being chosen for the 2011 Pro Bono Recognition Roster, the firm has also received the PILI Pro Bono Initiative Honor Roll Award. The Pro Bono Initiative is a consulting program that cultivates business cultures and legal careers that integrate a commitment to public interest law and pro bono work.
