Vedder Price Advises Video Gaming Technology, Inc. in Successful Bid for Illinois Gaming Licenses
James S. Montana, Jr., and Terence M. Dunleavy, Shareholders and members of the firm’s Gaming Law practice group, represented client Video Gaming Technology, Inc. (VGT) before the Illinois Gaming Board in its successful effort to be licensed to manufacture and distribute its video gaming terminals in Illinois.
As a result of Mr. Montana and Mr. Dunleavy’s efforts, VGT was recently licensed to manufacture and distribute its video gaming terminals, Vega$ Jackpot$™, in the state of Illinois.
“Illinois is one of the strictest states with regard to gaming licensing,” said Mr. Montana. “We guided VGT every step of the way over a period of nearly two years, responding to the very demanding but necessary licensing requirements of the Illinois Gaming Board.”
“Now that VGT is licensed in Illinois,” added Mr. Dunleavy, “the company is poised for significant growth in Illinois’ emerging location-based video gaming terminal market.”
VGT, the largest privately owned gaming company in the United States, is the parent company of VGT Manufacturing, Inc. and VGT Distributions, Inc.
