Vedder Thinking | News Vedder Price Adds New Intellectual Property Counsel in New York
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Mark W. Russell has joined the firm's New York office as Counsel in the Intellectual Property group.
Mr. Russell has over 26 years of experience working in patent and trademark law in governmental, private and corporate settings; this included holding a position as Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office early in his career. Most recently, he served as Legal Director, Patents for Merck & Co., Inc., where his responsibilities included drafting and prosecuting patent applications and performing intellectual property due diligence for potential acquisitions and in-licensing opportunities.

"His significant experience in the Intellectual Property realm, specifically with his patent and trademark law background, will serve to strengthen our group’s experience and ability to provide exceptional service to our clients." Mr. Russell earned his J.D. from American University, his Master of Science from the University of Connecticut and his undergraduate degree from Fordham University.
