Vedder Price is pleased to announce the addition of two well-respected attorneys to the firm's Los Angeles office. Germain D. Labat joins the Complex Litigation group as the Los Angeles Litigation Group Head, and Jason W. Reese joins the Finance & Transactions group—both as Shareholders. The expansion of the Los Angeles office ties to the firm's long-term growth strategy to deliver responsive, results-oriented and high-value service to clients.

Mr. Labat, an experienced trial lawyer and formerly a Partner at Mayer Brown, brings significant experience in all facets of complex business disputes, including securities litigation, commercial litigation, corporate governance and shareholder litigation, commercial real estate litigation and class action defense. His robust client list includes both public and privately held companies in the financial services, technology, energy, retail and commercial real estate sectors. Mr. Labat earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Reese is a highly skilled corporate attorney who advises clients in M&A, venture capital and private equity investments, public filings under federal securities laws and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, NYSE and NASDAQ requirements among other corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Reese was part of the Private Equity and Venture practice at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Mr. Reese earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.
