Stewart Reifler, Shareholder and head of the firm’s New York Executive Compensation group, advised Jimmy Choo founder and Chief Creative Officer Tamara Mellon in Labelux’s highly publicized agreement to purchase Jimmy Choo.

Labelux agreed to acquire luxury shoe and accessories brand Jimmy Choo from TowerBrook Capital Partners L.P. in a deal valued at approximately $800 million. The deal is expected to close at the end of June.

Mr. Reifler and Vedder Price were part of Ms. Mellon’s international advisory team, which also included MX Capital Partners in New York and Travers Smith in London. Ms. Mellon is planning on staying with the company under the new ownership.

Mr. Reifler advises many public and private fashion-industry companies, their CEOs and senior executive and design officers, and compensation committees on all aspects of executive compensation. Austria-based Labelux’s portfolio includes other luxury brands such as Bally, Derek Lam and Zagliani.
