Steven R. Berger, a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s New York office and a member of the firm's Finance & Transactions group, recently participated in a virtual roundtable of M&A experts hosted by Accounting Today entitled “The Changing Face of M&A.” In it, the roundtable participants opined on the recent uptick in accounting firm M&As and the probability of that trend continuing. They also offered predictions for accounting firm M&As in 2013; discussed differences in M&A trends for small and large firms; and analyzed the misperceptions and mistakes made by accounting firms in approaching M&A transactions.
