Sadina Montani, a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Labor & Employment practice group in our Washington, DC office, and a member of Vedder Price’s women’s initiative, WAVES (Women at Vedder Empowering Success), has been chosen to serve as President-Elect of the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia (WBA). The President-Elect title was unofficially conveyed to Ms. Montani at the WBA 2019 Annual Dinner on May 22 at the National Building Museum in DC. Her term as President-Elect officially begins on June 1, 2019. She will become the WBA President on June 1, 2020.

“I am honored to be selected to lead the Women’s Bar Association, and humbled to follow the many impressive and trailblazing women who have led the organization with dignity, thoughtfulness, and passion,” said Ms. Montani. “It is particularly meaningful to me to serve during the centennial celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment. I look forward to working closely with the WBA’s incoming President, Jill Dash of the American Constitution Society, in support of her theme for the upcoming Bar year, ‘Building Community, Building Power.’”

Founded in 1917, the WBA is one of the oldest and largest voluntary bar associations in metropolitan Washington, DC. Its mission is to maintain the honor and integrity of the profession; promote the administration of justice; advance and protecting the interests of women lawyers; promote their mutual improvement; and encourage a spirit of friendship among its members.
