Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Robert Goldstein has joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Finance & Transactions practice area in the New York office. Mr. Goldstein previously served as a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery in New York.

Mr. Goldstein focuses his practice on middle-market private equity transactions, representing private equity fund sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, divestitures, financing, recapitalizations, distressed investments, sales, leveraged buyout transactions and other exit strategies. He handles all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets and general corporate representations.

“Rob brings the portfolio of private equity relationships and experience we are looking for to augment our New York M&A and private equity practice,” said Michael A. Nemeroff, President and CEO of Vedder Price. “Additionally, he’ll provide wide-ranging support for firmwide private equity deals and to our existing corporate transactional practice given the heavy deal flow our clients are experiencing.”

“I’m excited to combine my relationships and private equity experience with Vedder’s, and to help grow our New York-based private equity presence,” said Mr. Goldstein. “I look forward to working with my talented colleagues in New York and across all of the firm's offices to serve our clients.”

Mr. Goldstein earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School, cum laude, where he also served as executive editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal and was elected into the Order of Barristers in 1995. He earned his B.A. from Columbia University.
