Nicole J. Wing, an attorney in Vedder Price’s Litigation practice area, represents clients in the construction and manufacturing industries in a wide array of complex matters.

Ms. Wing’s practice includes counseling clients as to litigation avoidance in contract negotiations and project delivery, conducting contract negotiations and handling all manner of disputes. Ms. Wing practices nationwide in various state and federal courts as well as before arbitration tribunals.

In the construction industry, Ms. Wing represents developers, design professionals, construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors in claims involving construction defects, delay and/or acceleration, mechanic’s liens and any manner of commercial dispute. In the manufacturing industry, Ms. Wing handles a variety of commercial litigation matters, including enforcing manufacturers’ intellectual property rights, products liability and distributor disputes, and can assist manufacturers with licensing and other contractual needs.

Ms. Wing is active in the Mechanic’s Lien Subcommittee of the Chicago Bar Association, contributes legal commentary in Engineering News-Record about emerging issues in the construction industry, speaks at legal and industry events concerning technological and other advancements in the industry, and works with the Illinois Institute of Technology to provide commentary for new software development for project modeling and contribute to educational advancements for the up-and-coming construction and manufacturing professionals. 

In addition, Ms. Wing maintains an active pro bono practice, including accepting appointments from the Criminal Court of Cook County to represent indigent defendants at trial, and she was selected for inclusion from 2014 to 2017 as an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. Ms. Wing also was selected as an Illinois Emerging Lawyer, an affiliate of Leading Lawyers, from 2014 to 2017.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Wing was an Associate at Mayer Brown. Before moving to Mayer Brown, she worked for the Cook County Office of the Public Defender in the felony trial division, first as a law student licensed to practice under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 and continuing after her admission to the Illinois bar. Ms. Wing acted as lead counsel in both jury and bench trials before the Honorable Judge James Schreier. Ms. Wing's experience as first chair in two jury trials and second chair in one jury trial resulted in winning verdicts.
