Neal I. Korval

Neal I. Korval served as the Managing Shareholder of the New York office of Vedder Price and as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors from 2004 to 2011.

He is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice area and the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits group.

For more than 35 years, Mr. Korval has represented public and private corporations of all sizes in the retail, manufacturing, health care and other business sectors on all aspects of labor and employment law. He has extensive experience in: NLRB matters, including collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, and defending employers facing ULP charges; EEOC litigation, including defending employers in discrimination lawsuits based on sex, age, race, religion, disability and sexual harassment; drafting of and litigation concerning employment contracts and restrictive covenants (including non-competes, non-solicitation agreements, and trade secret enforcement); employee benefits administration and ERISA litigation; alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration; and compliance with wage and hour laws. Mr. Korval advises clients regularly in connection with all of the foregoing and lectures frequently on winning union arbitrations, complying with EEO laws, and sound human resources management.

Mr. Korval is a member of the New York State Bar Association and currently serves on the Committee on Collective Bargaining and Labor Arbitration of the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Korval was selected for inclusion from 2007 to 2016 in New York Super Lawyers. The Legal 500 United States guide also recommends Mr. Korval in the Labor and Employment—Labor-Management Relations category. In addition, Mr. Korval has enjoyed an “AV Preeminent” Peer Rating in Martindale-Hubbell since 1981.
