LaQuenta C. Rudison is an Associate in the Chicago office of Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions practice group.

While attending law school, Ms. Rudison was a Staff Editor for The John Marshall Law Review in which her comment, SOS: Saving the Secondary Mortgage Market from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Ability to Repay Rule, was published. Also, she was the Chief Justice of the Moot Court Honors Council and was a semi-finalist in the Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition. Additionally, Ms. Rudison served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Contracts, Appellate Advocacy and Property.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Rudison was a mortgage insurance underwriter, a career she maintained while she attended law school. Her previous career experience includes mortgage insurance claims management, retrospective premium insurance adjustments, first mortgage originations, Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) compliance and credit indemnity insurance coverage.

Ms. Rudison also has previous experience as a judicial extern for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division – Mortgage Foreclosure Section.
