Mr. Podkonski’s practice covers all aspects of aviation finance and leasing. He  focuses on advising clients on cross-border secured debt and leasing structures, as well as trading of aircraft and engines. Mr. Podkonski has experience in advising financiers, export credit agencies, lessors and operators regarding EXIM and ECA financing, PDP financing, asset-backed securitizations, operating lease structures, portfolio sales and purchase transactions.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Podkonski worked for an international law firm in Ireland where he advised operating lessors and financial institutions on all Irish law aspects of aircraft finance, acquisition and leasing. In addition, Mr. Podkonski completed a 12-month secondment with a leading international aircraft lessor in Dublin where he gained particular experience in all aspects of aircraft sales, deliveries, redeliveries and placement of both used and new aircraft.

Mr. Podkonski speaks Polish and English.  He is currently learning Portuguese.
