Ms. Vargo has over twenty years of experience advising investment companies, independent directors of registered investment companies, and investment advisers on regulatory, compliance and governance matters, as well as on complex transactions.

Ms. Vargo counsels mutual funds, independent directors and investment advisers with respect to structuring and registering mutual fund products, including alternative strategy funds and funds that utilize a manager of managers structure. Her experience also includes the handling of complex acquisition and reorganization transactions for investment companies and consolidations following mergers of advisers.

Ms. Vargo has extensive experience interfacing with the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on various registration and other regulatory matters and regularly participates in board and committee meetings, providing advice on board governance, and fund compliance and regulatory matters. She is recommended by the Legal 500 United States in the Mutual/Registered/Exchange Traded Funds category, and was also recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers for Mutual Funds Law.
