Junaid Zubairi to Speak at PLI’s “Internal Investigations 2013” Program
Junaid A. Zubairi, a Vedder Price Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Government Enforcement & Special Investigations practice, will speak during PLI’s “Internal Investigations 2013” program at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago. The program is designed to review the fundamentals of conducting an effective and efficient internal investigation, as well as to touch on practical issues that arise, including international issues, data privacy issues, and labor and employment law issues.
Mr. Zubairi's session, titled “Regulators Roundtable,” will address a variety of topics, including regulators’ perspectives on internal investigations and whistleblower issues and Dodd-Frank’s impact on how these issues are handled. Other topics covered include suggestions on maintaining a dialogue with regulators during the investigation, cooperation with the government and public disclosure of results.
