He has represented issuers and underwriters in a broad range of capital markets transactions, including securitization and structured finance transactions, initial public offerings, high yield bond offerings and early round financings for emerging and start-up companies. Mr. Blatchford also represents companies in acquisition and divestiture transactions and provides general corporate advice on a wide variety of issues, including periodic reporting under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, shareholder and board of directors meetings, corporate governance and the creation and implementation of corporate compliance programs. He also has extensive experience in privatization and other cross-border transactions in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Mr. Blatchford was named to the 2012 BTI Client Service All-Stars, an annual list published by BTI Consulting Group that recognizes attorneys who "impress corporate counsel with a keen understanding of business issues, thought-leading approaches to legal services and total commitment to client needs." In addition, Mr. Blatchford was selected by his peers from 2013 to 2016 and in 2020 as a Leading Lawyer in Corporate Finance, Secured Transactions, and Securities & Venture Finance.
