Jennifer Durham King has been elected to serve a second consecutive term as the firm’s Corporate Practice Area Leader and as a member of the Board of Directors. Jennifer, who has served in the role since 2019, is the first woman to lead the Corporate practice in the firm’s history. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Securities & Capital Markets group and is a member of the firm’s Compensation Committee.

Ms. King, who has practiced at Vedder Price her entire legal career, counsels issuers and underwriters as lead counsel in a broad range of capital markets transactions, including public and private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning and formation. She also advises public companies on their reporting and disclosure obligations under the federal securities laws, as well as on a variety of corporate governance matters. Jennifer has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in both Corporate Finance Law and Securities & Venture Finance Law annually since 2016. In 2018, Jennifer was featured as one of Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers by Crain’s Custom Media.

Previously, Ms. King served on the firm’s Associate Evaluation Committee for over 10 years and its Associate Advisory Committee for five years, and is the former coordinator of the firm’s Corporate Associate Development program and a past Co-Chair of its summer associate program.
