Vedder Price's Global Transportation Finance team (GTF) was honored by the Airfinance Journal for its role in four "Deals of the Year" awards for 2011:

• Editor's Deal of the Year – Vedder Price acted on behalf of the lender in connection with the operating lease of one Airbus jet for Emirates Airlines.
• America Deal of the Year – Vedder Price acted on behalf of the arranger and lenders in a $168 million mixed-market loan transaction for US Airways in connection with the delivery of twelve Airbus jets.
• Sale/Leaseback Deal of the Year – Vedder Price acted on behalf of the lender in connection with the $60 million sale/leaseback of two 737-800s for Japan Airlines (JAL).
• Engine Deal of the Year – Vedder Price acted on behalf of the seller in its sale of its engine portfolio to ELFC.
