Francisca T. Wolfenson Chimenelli is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Litigation practice group and a member of the firm’s Government Investigations and White Collar defense team.
Ms. Wolfenson Chimenelli represents clients in investigations and proceedings brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other federal and state agencies. She has defended clients on matters involving allegations of securities fraud, insider trading, and whistleblower allegations, among others.
Her practice also includes defending clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters related to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, defamation, restrictive covenants and the misappropriation of trade secrets. Ms. Wolfenson Chimenelli has experience counseling clients with data privacy and cybersecurity incidents, including system-wide breaches, cyber extortions involving ransomware attacks, and breaches concerning HIPAA-protected data.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Wolfenson Chimenelli maintains an active pro bono practice representing refugees and asylum seekers with immigration issues in the United States.
Ms. Wolfenson Chimenelli is a graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
