Edward K. Gross to Chair UCC Leasing Subcommittee Meeting at ABA Business Law Section Spring Meeting
Shareholder Edward K. Gross is the Chair of the ABA BLS–UCC Leasing Subcommittee. His Subcommittee’s quarterly meeting on April 8, 2016 is among the various UCC and ComFin Committee meetings to be held during the ABA Business Law Section Spring Meeting in Montreal, Canada. The ABA Business Law Section Spring Meeting is the preeminent gathering for business lawyers based in the United States, Canada and elsewhere in the Americas. More than 1,700 attorneys from law firms and in-house counsel from across the globe will convene in Montreal.
The UCC Leasing Subcommittee meeting chaired by Mr. Gross will include a leasing case law update, a discussion regarding California lenders licensing legislation, and a guest speaker who will explain the accounting implications of certain lease finance structures, both under the current accounting standards as well as after the new accounting standards become effective. The meeting is open to members of the Subcommittee and non-members, both in person and by participating in a committee call.
Attendees at the ABA BLS Meeting will also enjoy other comprehensive business law programming including more than 70 CLE programs; substantive sessions to keep informed on the latest developments in business law; social events designed to facilitate networking and establish new contacts with other business law professionals; and hundreds of committee and subcommittee meetings addressing developments in all areas of business law, including Mr. Gross’s UCC Leasing Subcommittee meeting.
