Edward K. Gross, a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team, will present at the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aircraft Finance, Registration & Legal Conference on March 18–20 in Fort Myers, Florida. The three-day conference will explore the opportunities and challenges this year brings and will examine current industry topics, from “non-bank” lenders playing a larger role in business aircraft financing, to global aircraft emissions standards and evolving tax issues.

Mr. Gross’s session, “Leasing vs. Secured Lending: Differences for Financing Providers,” will address how, from a financing provider's perspective, aircraft leasing and secured lending present a host of differences in financing documents, the closing process and tax/regulatory issues. Attendees will learn about key asset-related issues, including working with OEMs, aircraft registration and renewal, return conditions, topics involving commercial law and liability considerations.
