Vedder Thinking | News DOJ Veteran Bolsters Government Contracts Practice, Harv Lester Joins Vedder Price
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Harold (Harv) D. Lester has joined the firm’s Government Contracts practice today as Of Counsel in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
During his tenure as U.S. Department of Justice Assistant Branch Director, Commercial Litigation Branch, Civil Division, Mr. Lester managed multibillion-dollar claims involving alleged breaches of contract, and will now counsel Vedder Price clients on a diverse range of government contracts and takings-related matters.
“Harv has spent the last 20 years with the Department of Justice, during which time he has acquired extensive trial and appellate experience in complex government contract matters. His government contracts expertise, litigation experience and understanding as to how the government analyzes bid protests and claims will be a great benefit to our firm and our clients,” said Kevin Connelly, Government Contracts Shareholder at Vedder Price.

Mr. Lester is the recipient of two John Marshall Awards, one for Alternative Dispute Resolution and the other for Trial of Litigation. The Attorney General’s John Marshall Award is the Department of Justice’s highest award for excellence.
