Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Shinn served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Carl Ashley at the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. During her clerkship, she regularly drafted post-trial decisions and court orders for dispositive motions on civil litigation matters involving labor and employment, insurance coverage, class-actions, commercial contracts, torts and foreclosures. She has experience drafting decisions for administrative reviews, writs of certiorari and writs of habeas corpus. 

Ms. Shinn received her law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law. During law school, she clerked for a year at the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. She also represented indigent clients in family court while participating in the UC Davis Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic.
