Amy L. Bess, Shareholder and member of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice area, was re-elected to the District of Columbia Bar’s 2011–2012 Board of Governors. Ms. Bess will serve a three-year term on the Bar’s Board of Governors. This is her second consecutive three-year term on the Board.

Ms. Bess is a member of the D.C. Bar’s Labor and Employment section and the Women’s Bar Association of D.C., for which she served a three-year elected term on the Board of Directors. She also serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Bar Association Foundation of D.C. and is a Board member and serves as General Counsel of the local literacy organization Everybody Wins! D.C.

According to the D.C. Bar’s official announcement, all newly elected officers, board members and delegates will take office on June 30, 2011, during the upcoming Celebration of Leadership: The D.C. Bar Awards Dinner and Annual Meeting.
