Labor & Employment practice area leader and Shareholder Amy L. Bess, together with Debra Katz of Katz, Marshall & Banks (a firm that represents plaintiffs in employment and civil rights matters) will teach a three-hour class covering current sexual harassment claims and cases at the DC Bar on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:00 – 9:15 pm EST.

This class, available in person and via webinar, will explore the current state of the law of sexual harassment claims, the legal requirements for meeting each of the essential elements of a hostile environment and a quid pro quo claim of sexual harassment. Ms. Bess and her Ms. Katz will also discuss the nuances of a same-sex sexual harassment claim, as well as the current status of the courts’ willingness to recognize claims for transgender harassment and sexual orientation harassment. Lastly, they will explore the most recent headline-grabbing sexual harassment scandals and discuss the important lessons learned.
