In her role as Operating Shareholder, Ms. Armagno oversees the firm's day-to-day management and operations teams. She also helps implement the strategy, vision and direction set by the firm’s Executive Committee. Ms. Armagno previously served in firm management roles as Assistant Operating Shareholder and General Counsel.

Ms. Armagno joined the firm in 1995 and was elevated to shareholder status in 2000. Prior to assuming a full-time firm management role, Ms. Armagno was a member of the firm’s Finance and Transactions practice Area and has over 30 years of experience counseling clients in a variety of sophisticated corporate, private equity, M&A and structured finance matters. A particular career highlight is Ms. Armagno’s extensive experience representing first lien, second lien and mezzanine lenders in structuring, negotiating and documenting complex intercreditor relationships.

In 2023, Ms. Armagno was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars, who demonstrate outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession. Legal 500 United States recognized Ms. Armagno in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Buyouts—M&A: Middle-Market (Sub-$500M) category and she was named an “Illinois Super Lawyer” in 2013 and 2014 and was recognized as one of the publication’s “Top Women Attorneys in Illinois” in 2013. She has also been selected by her peers from 2008 to 2023 as a “Leading Lawyer” in Corporate Finance.
