The Real Estate practice group at Vedder Price was recently recognized by Midwest Real Estate News in its annual "Best of the Best" survey, which ranks law firms by the dollar volume of real estate transactions completed in the previous calendar year within a 14-state region. The firm's Real Estate group was ranked 18th on the list.

Vedder Price completed 139 real estate transactions in 2012 in the areas of commercial, industrial, shopping centers, land, office buildings, multifamily and health care. Transaction volume for the year totaled nearly $1.15 billion in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

The Real Estate practice group is chaired by William J. Lewis and comprises more than 20 attorneys in the firm's Chicago and New York offices.
