The Real Estate and Land Use practice group at Vedder Price was recently recognized by Midwest Real Estate News in its annual "Best of the Best" survey, which ranks law firms by the number of real estate transactions completed in the previous calendar year within a 14-state region. The firm's Real Estate and Land Use group ranked 18th on the list.

Vedder Price completed 283 real estate transactions in 2011 in the areas of commercial, industrial, shopping centers, land, office buildings, multifamily and health care. Forty-one of these transactions were valued at $15 million-plus, while 73 fell into the $5 million to $14 million range.

The Real Estate and Land Use practice group is chaired by William J. Lewis and comprises more than 20 attorneys in the firm's Chicago and New York offices.
