Vedder Price is proud to announce that Thomas G. Hancuch, a Shareholder in the firm's Labor and Employment practice area, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC). The ACEBC is a not-for-profit organization composed of some of the nation’s leading employee benefits attorneys. It is dedicated to elevating the standards and advancing the public’s understanding of the practice of employee benefits law. There are approximately 400 Fellows who have been admitted to the College since its founding. Fellows must have at minimum of 20 years of experience in employee benefits law and have demonstrated a sustained commitment to promoting the understanding and appreciation of employee benefits law a through activities such as speaking, writing and public service. Mr. Hancuch was one of eight Fellows inducted this year. The Affordable Care Act has been the principal focus of Mr. Hancuch’s writing and speaking activities the last several years.

Mr. Hancuch’s practice is devoted to representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, with a focus on employee benefit plan design, administration and compliance. He is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Employee Benefits Committee and has served as Co-Chair of the Subcommittees on ERISA Preemption and on Employment Discrimination and Employee Benefits. Mr. Hancuch is a contributor to and editor of the leading legal treatise Employee Benefits Law, published by Bloomberg BNA.
