Richard L. Thomas, a partner in the London office of Vedder Price and a member of the firm's Finance & Transactions practice group, served as co-editor/translator of The Civil Code of the Netherlands. Aimed at lawyers, professional advisors, businesspeople and academics, this one-volume English-language translation contains the entire text of the Dutch Civil Code in effect as of October 1, 2008. The Second Edition, published in 2013, includes significant new statutory provisions, the most important of which is the addition of a chapter titled “Private International Law.”
