Kathryn L. Stevens joined the Chicago office of Vedder Price in 1999.

She is a Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Health Care Finance practice group. She concentrates her practice in commercial finance, representing major lenders in loan transactions exclusively in the health care industry. She structures, negotiates and documents asset-based, cash-flow and real estate loan transactions with borrowers across the spectrum of health care sub-industries including senior, second lien and mezzanine financings.

Ms. Stevens advises health care clients on a wide range of corporate, tax, and regulatory issues. Ms. Stevens counsels individuals and organizations (both within and outside the health care field) on their responsibilities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and the privacy regulations promulgated thereunder. She has particular experience representing providers specializing in radiology and the provision of diagnostic imaging services.

Since 2017, Ms. Stevens has been selected by her peers as a Leading Lawyer in Health Law, Real Estate Law: Finance, and Secured Transactions. Ms. Stevens received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996, her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1999, and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1999. While at DePaul, Ms. Stevens also completed the Health Law Specialization Program, earning a certificate of designation in health law.
