Jonathan Z. Kurry is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Miami office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group. With a comprehensive understanding of the industry, Jonathan advises lenders, investors, and developers in navigating the complexities of commercial real estate finance, acquisition and disposition, development and management.

Mr. Kurry’s professional experience spans a diverse range of projects across  several industries, including hospitality, retail, multi-family, industrial, office and mixed-use. He excels in handling intricate joint ventures, portfolio transactions, loan restructurings, and public-private partnerships. His international focus extends to clients and projects located in Latin America and the Caribbean, adding a global perspective to his practice.

Mr. Kurry also provides family offices and ultra high net-worth clients with “outside general counsel” services, including advice, problem solving, negotiation and litigation prevention related to real estate and corporate transactions, asset protection and tax planning, employment, noncompetition, confidentiality and charitable giving. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America 2024 in Real Estate Law. 

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Jonathan served as general counsel to a prominent national real estate development and management focused family office. He earned his JD from George Washington University, complemented by undergraduate degrees from Tulane University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
